The streets of Mexico

The Midnight Sun House is a place to feel at ease, to reconnect with the true nature within oneself, allow things to fall apart as it needs to, and tend to restructuring ones foundation.

Captivating beauty just few steps away

A variety of day retreats are offered seasonally, in different aspects of one’s well-being.

The Midnight Sun House is located in Upper Ojai, California nestled within the sacred + indigenous lands + mountains of the Chumash People. ‘Ahwa’y’ (Aw-ha-ee) was the name of a Chumash village in Upper Ojai. Research and linguistic analysis has shown that ‘Awha’y’ means moon.  Ojai is sometimes referred to as the valley of the moon and is known to be an energetic vortex and common place for spiritual connection.

Marifel is a support worker for end of life, and an advocate for conscious breath and death. Formerly a Respiratory Therapist for more than a decade in an acute care hospital, she witnessed the multiple ways people were brought to their death. This experience illuminated the collective need to engage with our relationship to death. Marifel curates workshops, retreats, experiences, and programming that supports death and transition in all forms.
